The purposes of these terms of use
These terms of use are intended to ensure that WOL discussions:
Registration
Although all users can access many areas of WOL, in order join in WOL discussions, access e-learning modules, other learning materials and resources or post vacancies on the jobs bulletin board, you need to register.
WOL discussions, e-learning modules, other learning materials and resources and jobs bulletin board are for the use of advisers with MAT partner agencies (adviceni, adviceUK, Birmingham Settlement, Citizens Advice, Citizens Advice Scotland, Money Advice Association, Money Advice Scotland), MATRICS associates (CCCS in Scotland, COSLA, Scottish local and health authorities) and their affiliates only, and it is a condition of registration that you provide your name, organisation name, and a valid email address.
We reserve the right to terminate your registration if we learn that you have provided false or misleading registration information.
When you register, these terms of use will govern your use of the registration-protected areas of WOL. By completing the registration process, you are indicating your agreement to be bound by these terms of use.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password. You shall be responsible for all uses of your registration, whether or not authorised by you.
You agree to immediately notify WOL of any unauthorised use of your registration or password.
Should you cease to be employed by or be a member of a MAT partner agency or MATRICS associate, you are no longer eligible to use the registration-protected areas of WOL and must inform WOL by emailing support@wiseradviser.org. Your registration will then be terminated.
If you move to another agency, please go to User Profile and update your registration details.
Content disclaimer
The views expressed in the posts in WOL discussions belong solely to their respective authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of MAT or our partner agencies.
Please remember that, as all registered users can post messages directly onto WOL discussions, it is impossible for MAT to guarantee the validity of the content of any user posts. If you find any posts in the forum to be offensive or objectionable, please contact us by email at support@wiseradviser.org.
If we determine that removal of a post or posts is necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to do so in a timely manner.
The management of these terms of use
We may modify these terms at any time, and such modifications shall be effective immediately upon posting of the modified terms on WOL. You agree to review the terms periodically to be aware of such modifications and your continued access or use of WOL shall be deemed your conclusive acceptance of the modified terms.
If you do not agree to changes in the terms of service as they may occur, please inform WOL by emailing support@wiseradviser.org. Your registration will then be terminated.

Providing Visitors with Anonymous Access
You can access our Web site home page and browse parts of our site without disclosing your personal data, however to access learning resources and online discussions, you will need to log in using your own personal account.
Website Services and links to external Web sites
Our Web site includes a discussion form feature which enables you to communicate with other users or to post information to be accessed by others. When you do so, please be aware that any personal data you post could be collected by other users.
Throughout the wiseradviser website, you will find links to third party Web sites. Please note that wiseradviser is not responsible for the privacy policies or content on third party sites.
Automatic Collection of Information
We use cookies only to record a users choice of home page e.g. England and Wales, or Scotland.
Users can choose to set their browser to not accept cookies. In this instance, the default home page will be used for that user.
Data Collection and Purpose Specification
We only collect the personal data that you volunteer while using our services.
We do not collect information about our visitors from other sources, such as public records or bodies, or private organisations.
Whilst using e-learning resources on the site, we track your progress through the e-learning modules and record this information. This is a technical requirement of the site to allow us to know when you have completed e-learning modules.
This information is not shared with third parties, with the exception of on request by a users supervisor. When registering for access to the site, a user has the option to provide a supervisors email address for this purpose. The information included in the report to supervisor is covered in the section below titled Disclosure and Visitor Choice.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. It is not envisaged that the site will be used by children at all.
Disclosure and Visitor Choice
With one exception, we do not disclose your personal data to third parties.
The only exception is if a user has identified a supervisors email address in their user profile, we may, on request by the supervisor, forward details of the user's record of e-learning.
Information contained within this record includes adviser name, organisation, MAT partner agency, e-learning subject, e-learning module, status and score. No other record of a users access of the site is included in this report.
If additional information is ever added to this report in the future, we will update this privacy statement to reflect the change.
Confidentiality / Security
We do not give visitors to our Web site the option of using a secure transmission method to send us their personal data.
We have implemented security policies, rules and technical measures to protect the personal data that we have under our control from:
All our employees and data processors, who have access to, and are associated with the processing of personal data, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of our visitors' personal data.
Access to the personal data we may hold about you
You can view/edit the personal date we hold about you by visiting the User Profile section of the Web site.
Upon request, which you can indicate by sending an email to training@moneyadvicetrust.org, we will provide you with a readable copy of the personal data which we keep about you. We will provide the information without any charge.
We reserve the right to refuse to provide our visitors with a copy of their personal data, but will give reasons for our refusal. We do, however, allow you to challenge our decision to refuse to provide you with a copy of your personal data.
